Stacey Wilson

As Shear Artistry’s owner and fellow stylist, Stacey Wilson has 30 years of experience behind the chair and confidently states, “I still truly love my career even after all these years. I really enjoy helping my guests feel better about themselves.” Stacey has applied her many years of experience to every aspect of the salon to ensure that each and every guest is provided the best salon experience, as well as maintaining a friendly work atmosphere that employees can enjoy while gaining knowledge and experience rival to none. Stacey began her training at Calhoun Community College with Pivot Point and continues to train extensively with world renowned Redken and Pureology artists, acquiring certifications as a Redken Colorist, a Redken Design Stylist, and a Pureology Expert. “I believe that in this industry, education and learning never ends! Trends and styles are constantly changing as well as the techniques to achieve them.” Stacey strongly feels that she has a duty to impart her extensive knowledge to up and coming stylists that participate in our Associate Program. Working one on one with our trainers daily, associates will gain first-hand experience and the self-confidence that is beneficial for a successful career. When she’s not behind the chair, Stacey enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and traveling with her husband.

Abby Bickleman

Abby graduated from The Salon Professional Academy in Huntsville, AL in January 2023 and joined our team soon after, quickly demonstrating exceptional talent and dedication as she worked her way through our Associate Program. As a Level 2 Stylist and our Lead Bridal Coordinator, she possesses a unique blend of artistic detail and care, ensuring that every bride and her party feels exceptionally beautiful on their special day. “I love the creative freedom and the ability to make people feel good about themselves,” says Abby. “I have the ability to empower my clients through hair and makeup, whether it’s a classic clipper cut, an elegant bridal updo, or providing advice on at home hair care.” In her free time, Abby enjoys spending quality time with her husband and shopping with her friends.

April Balch

April graduated in 2002 from The Masters School of Cosmetology in Huntsville, AL and has been with the salon since our doors opened in 2004. With over 20 years of experience under her belt April says, “I love my job and all of my loyal guests. There’s nothing I would change about my career choice and I strongly believe I’m right where I’m supposed to be.” April grew up in Hazel Green, AL with her mother Terri, another fellow stylist at our salon. You will typically find April cheering on her son at baseball games, spending time with her husband, and working in her garden.

Brookelyn Young

Brookelyn grew up in Athens, Alabama and from a young age proved herself to be an exceptional student and stylist. She attended a technical trade school in tandem with her regular high school responsibilities, and diligently worked to complete all requirements for her cosmetology license by the time she graduated in May of 2026. “I’ve always strived to be the best version of myself and having confidence is a huge stepping stone in obtaining the goals we have. Cosmetology felt like the right choice for me because I am able to assist others in their journey to achieve their goals.” Brookelyn’s favorite services to provide for her clients include all things color, specifically blonding and gray coverage, and plans to venture into bridal and formal occasion services. When not behind the chair, Brookelyn likes to spend her time cooking and gardening.

Carley Taylor

Carley has been doing hair professionally since 2015, but has always held a passion for hair and beauty since she was a young girl, “I was basically running a salon out of the middle and high school bathrooms.” Born in Philadelphia, PA, raised in Chattanooga, TN, and a short stay in Colorado, Carley has officially settled down in Huntsville with her husband, baby girl, and two pets. Carley’s favorite services include balayage, gray blending, custom cuts, and blowouts. “You can trust me to bring the passion and knowledge I’ve gained from stylists all across the country directly to my chair. It’s very important to me for a client to know that they can trust me with their hair from the moment they sit in my chair.” In her free time, Carley enjoys thrifting, reading, collecting crystals, and snuggling her puppy on the sofa.

Christy Rawls

Christy graduated from The Salon Professional Academy in Huntsville, AL in April 2015 and completed our Associate Program in 2016. She is a very attentive Level 5 stylist that specializes in blonding, blonde transformations, and balayage. ”My goal is to deliver the perfect style and color that my guests desire while maintaining the integrity and health of their hair. I do my best to educate my clients on at home routines and styling techniques so they leave feeling confident that they can maintain the look that we create.” In her spare time, Christy enjoys traveling and spending time with her kids in the great outdoors.

Courtney Eubanks

Courtney is a graduate of Bennett School of Cosmetology in Decatur and has worked through our associate program to become a Level 2 Stylist. Much of her training has been through attending school and assisting at a local salon, all while being a pharmacy tech! “My passion and what makes this fulfilling is the moment a client’s face lights up and I can tell that my service truly made their day and boosted their confidence,” Courtney says. She enjoys being creative, being around other people, and knowing that her work makes an impact. In her free time, you can find Courtney at concerts and music festivals, reading a book, or pouring into her community.

Darci Clifford

Darci graduated from Paul Mitchell the School in Huntsville, AL in December 2023 and joined our team as an Associate Stylist shortly after. She is now working full time as Level 2 Stylist and has a fondness for providing fun and trendy haircuts and has a passion for curly cuts. Darci says, “I chose to do hair so I can help people feel beautiful. Life can be hard sometimes, so if I can brighten someone’s day by making them feel fabulous I consider that a blessing!” In her free time, Darci enjoys thrifting with friends and going on walks with her dog.

Diana Langseth

Diana received her education at The Salon Professional Academy (TSPA) in Huntsville, AL, graduating in February 2017. After completing cosmetology school, she chose to further her education through our Associate Program. In 2022, she returned to TSPA as a part time Educator to share her knowledge with aspiring cosmetology students. Diana displayed an intense level of determination, working her way up to a Level 6 stylist and shareholder. Always wanting to expand her knowledge, she worked diligently to earn certifications as a Professional Redken Colorist and Associate Trainer. Diana’s favorite services to provide are balayage and transformative color, with a concentration in curly hair. “My passion is creating an experience where my guests feel relaxed and pampered.” Diana was born in Hollywood, FL, and has settled here in Alabama with her husband and two dogs. In her spare time she loves to cook, dance, and cheer on her favorite football team!

Emma Camp

Emma graduated from Paul Mitchell the School in November 2022 and joined our Associate Program in October 2023. Now working as a Level 3 Stylist, Emma has proven herself to be knowledgeable and determined, currently holding a certification in Hair Extension Installation with a strong focus in blonding, grey coverage, and dimensional color services. “I love that I have the ability to be creative and build a relationship with my clients, especially when doing hair extensions. “Hair is so versatile and the services we provide can be incredibly transformative for someone’s look. It’s incredibly fulfilling to help boost other people’s confidence.” Outside of the salon, Emma enjoys relaxing at home with
her husband, son, and their dog, Chip.

Eva Whiteaker

Eva, an established Shear Artistry stylist and current shareholder, received her cosmetology education at The Scientific Beauty Academy in Huntsville, AL. As a Redken Certified Design Stylist and Certified Pureology Expert, she has many years of experience and is consistently active in furthering her education to ensure she stays up to date with new techniques and current trends. “Where there is knowledge there is power and I feel that the power to educate my clients with updated techniques and products can deliver a better experience in the salon and create easy at-home maintenance for their new style.” When Eva is not behind the chair, she enjoys shopping and spending time with her family.

Haley Chittam

Haley has several years of experience within the salon industry, having worked as our Lead Receptionist for several years, she excels at cultivating strong client relationships and providing exceptional customer service. Now working as a part time service provider, she specializes in Permanent Makeup, Fine Line Tattoos, and Eyelash Extensions. Haley earned her Eyelash Extension certification from Bella Lash Academy in 2022 and quickly decided to expand her creative skills into Permanent Body Art. Working closely under veteran Body Artist, Janelle Van Zant, Haley earned her certifications for Microblading in 2022, closely followed by Fine Line Tattoos in 2023. In her free time Haley enjoys reading, painting, and spending time outdoors with her fiancé and their dog, Monty.

Jadea Primeau

Jadea attended three years of cosmetology tech classes while in high school and later graduated from Bennett School of Cosmetology in Decatur in May of 2025. She chose Shear Artistry has her salon home and joined the team as an Associate Stylist with our educators Stacey and Diana. “I’ve always loved doing hair and making people feel good about themselves,” Jadea says. “My passion is making my clients feel beautiful and for them to love their hair. I strive to make my clients happy and satisfied, which will make me happy in return.” Jadea is very determined and will push herself to be the best she can be at whatever she does! Outside of work Jadea enjoys crocheting, reading, and spending time with her friends and family.

Katie Ung

Katie, our full-time nail technician, received extensive training in Atlanta, GA, and possesses an expertise in regular and shellac nail polishes, “I prefer this method over artificial nails because of the damaging effects and demanding upkeep. Shellac polish gives my guests 2-3 weeks of beautiful wear and I feel that it’s much easier to maintain the strength and health of the natural nails.” Katie was born in Vietnam and grew up in Rosemead, CA., later moving to Atlanta, GA to receive her cosmetology training. She eventually settled in Alabama with her husband and two kids. In her spare time, Katie is a busy, devoted mom who enjoys participating in all sorts of fun activities with her family.

KB Burt

KB was born and raised in Tanner, Alabama and from a young age displayed a hard working personality that is very goal oriented. She graduated from Bennett School of Cosmetology in May 2026 and joined our team not long after. “I’ve always been eager to learn more about anything I submerse myself in. Doing hair just felt like the right career path for me because the education never ends and expanding my knowledge allows me to continue to do better for my clients.” KB’s favorite services to provide are vivids, blonding, and anything color related. In her free time, KB enjoys dancing and assisting at Southern Studio of Dance.

Kelvin Nguyen

Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Kelvin moved to Huntsville and made it his home in 2014. He is currently enrolled at the University of Alabama and is planning to work towards a master’s degree in psychology, with hopes of one day owning his own counseling practice. When not at work, Kelvin lives a very active lifestyle that includes running and participating in his local volleyball league.

Makenna Stephenson

Makenna is a Huntsville native and esthetician student who, like many of us at Shear Artistry, is a creative person who feels fulfilled by making people look and feel their best- “Life is too short not to do what you love everyday.” Her chill vibe, attention to detail, and conscientiousness are what made her the perfect fit for us as a Guest Experience Professional. Outside of school and the salon, Makenna enjoys baking, outdoor activities, walking her dog, and is learning how to crochet.

Kyndall Sullivan

Kyndall graduated from The Salon Professional Academy in Huntsville, AL in December of 2020 and joined our Associate Program soon after. With lots of determination, she steadily worked her way up to a full time Level 3 stylist and is now an Associate Trainer and Shareholder. Kyndall is passionate about continuing her education through classes and creating a relationship with each person that sits in her chair. “My favorite part about being a stylist is the impact my work can have on my guests. Helping them feel beautiful, confident, and refreshed is an incredibly fulfilling experience that I am thankful for.” Kyndall loves doing all kinds of color services with a focus for blondes, dimensional styles, and vivids. When she isn’t working in the salon, Kyndall loves trying different artistic mediums, spending time with her friends and family, attending concerts, and doting on her two cats.

Lillie West

Lillie graduated from The Salon Professional Academy in Huntsville, AL in March 2025. Pursuing her dream of becoming a talented cosmetologist, she has completed our Associate Program and is now a Level 2 Stylist. She works diligently to gain experience by providing multiple services including color, cuts, and facial waxing. Lillie strives to deliver a comfortable salon experience for her clients, “Hair is an incredibly important part of people’s lives so my main goal is to build trust with my clients. I want them to feel comfortable enough to ask questions, express themselves, and I’ll always provide a listening ear when they need it most.” Outside of the salon Lillie enjoys cooking, traveling with her fiancé, and shopping with her friends.

Lisa Davis

Lisa has spent over 20 years mastering her craft behind the chair as a premier Level 4 stylist. She is deeply passionate about her specialties, which include curly hair cutting and styling, long-lasting blowouts, tailored color services, and full-body waxing. In addition to her work behind the chair, Lisa serves as a salon shareholder, contributing her extensive industry expertise to the salon’s leadership and continued growth. “My goal is to create a relaxing and enjoyable salon experience that leaves my clients feeling more confident and uplifted.” Outside of her career, Lisa cherishes time with her family and is actively involved in supporting her church community.

Mackenzie Hendrix

Mackenzie graduated from Paul Mitchell The School of Huntsville, AL in July 2024 and is currently a Level 2 Stylist after completing our Associate Program.. Her passion is helping people find a look that is flattering to their features, suits their personality and lifestyle, as well as expressing hers and the clients creativity, “Hair has always been an interest of mine, but I truly chose this field because of how fulfilled I am serving others while stretching my creative muscles.” Mackenzie has a focus in trendy haircuts, gray blending, and natural highlights, utilizing her artistic abilities to devise a unique formula for each client. When she isn’t behind the chair you can find her drawing in her newest sketchbook or with her nose buried in a novel.

Michelle Jennings

Michelle is a current shareholder and fellow stylist with 30+ years of experience behind the chair. She completed her cosmetology training in 1989 at the Madison County Technical Institute and has been a full-time stylist at our salon since we opened in 2004. Michelle has attended two training sessions at the Redken Exchange in New York City, is a two-time attendee at the Redken Symposium in Las Vegas, and holds certifications as a Redken Design Stylist, Blonde Authority Expert, and still continues her education with renowned Redken Educators. Michelle says consultations are a priority for her, “My ultimate goal is to help my guests navigate their desires and expectations by giving them an achievable style that looks great and they can easily replicate at home.” One of Michelle’s favorite services to provide is shorter, textured hairstyles. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family.

Rachel Riley

Shelley Sammis

Shelley attended Roberts Institute of Hair Design in Timonium, MD and continued her education at Von Lee International School of Aesthetics in Pikesville, MD, graduating in 1987. Shelley is a full-time stylist and esthetician within our salon, and says “I have a passion to make my guests of all ages look and feel beautiful inside and out. I want to give each guest my full attention and listen attentively to their beauty needs so I can take special care in providing the best experience possible.” Shelley was born in Maryland and moved to Pennsylvania where she resided for 22 years before settling in our beautiful state of Alabama. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family and friends.

Sheradyn Coleman

Sheradyn graduated from The Salon Professional Academy of Huntsville in April 2024 and quickly settled into our salon family after joining our Associate Program the same year. With a lifelong passion for the beauty industry, Sheradyn thrives on enhancing others’ confidence through her work. “I love making people feel beautiful,” she shares, “I always had a lot of fun exploring creative styles of hair and makeup so getting to make a career out of it is the best thing I could ask for.” Now a Level 2 Stylist, her expertise shines through when creating natural and dimensional color, fun vivid colors, and she possesses a specialty for the unique needs of curly hair. In her free time she enjoys going on new adventures with her husband and traveling with her family.

Sierra Ream

Sierra graduated from Paul Mitchell the School in Overland Park, Kansas in January 2021. After moving to Huntsville, she trained closely as an associate under our talented stylist, Diana, and is now working as a full-time Level 2 Stylist. Sierra shares that as a child she had to learn new hairstyles and fun makeup looks on her own, “I’ve always loved doing my own hair makeup. I got to see firsthand how even the smallest of changes can transform your look and make you much more confident. I want to do my best to help others achieve that life changing confidence as well.” Sierra has a specialty for blonding, vivid color, and lived in looks. In her free time, Sierra enjoys going out with her friends, and relaxing at home with her cats.

Sonya Mauer

After serving in the military and retiring from her career in HR, Sonya decided she needed a change. She began her cosmetology career at The Bennett School of Cosmetology in late 2025. “The creativeness of cosmetology is a younger life desire I have that was never fulfilled. I love bringing satisfaction and confidence to my guests’ lives.” In her free time, Sonya loves going to the gym, cycling, and is involved in multiple local cycling clubs.

Summer Brister

Summer graduated from The Salon Professional Academy in Huntsville, AL in 2018 and joined our team in 2020 to further hone her skills through our Associate Program. She has consistently impressed clients and fellow stylists with her dedication and expertise to perfecting her craft. “I strive to help my guests feel comfortable in my chair during their consultation. My goal is for them to be able to freely express their concerns and hair goals so we can achieve them together. Building a strong sense of trust with my clients is a priority for me.” Summer has proven herself to be a talented and knowledgeable Level 2 Stylist with her strong point being highlights, color transformations, and barber cuts. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies with her fiancé and making charcuterie boards.

Terri Preston

Terri graduated in 1982 from The Masters School of Cosmetology in Huntsville, AL and has been with our salon since our doors opened in 2004. After many years in the industry, Terri has learned the key to satisfying each client that sits in her chair, “Having a thorough consultation is very important with each appointment. Clear communication ensures that each guest has their desires met and has the best possible salon experience.” In her free time, Terri enjoys tending to her goats and chickens, as well as spending time with her grandson.

Wendy Warrington

Wendy received her training at Pivot Point International in 1998 and has been working as a full-time stylist in our salon for several years. “My main focus is to help my guests feel and look their best when they leave my chair.” When Wendy isn’t behind the chair she enjoys showing her two Havanese dogs at American Kennel Club Conformation Competitions where they hold a very successful record with numerous awards!
